FirstBell runs entirely on your machine inside Docker.
It does not install background services, registry entries, or OS-level components.
Removal is straightforward and complete — follow the steps below for your operating system.
Note: Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
To stop future billing, cancel your subscription separately through your
Whop account dashboard
before uninstalling.
1Stop and remove the FirstBell containers
Open Docker Desktop on your computer.
Click the Containers tab in the left sidebar
Find firstbell and ollama in the list
Click the Stop button (■) next to each one, then click Delete (🗑)
2Delete the stored data (journal, settings, AI models)
This step permanently deletes your trade journal, paper portfolio, and scan history.
If you want to keep your data, skip this step.
In Docker Desktop, click the Volumes tab in the left sidebar
Delete firstbell_firstbell_data — contains your journal and settings
Delete firstbell_ollama_models — contains downloaded AI models
3Remove the Docker images
This frees the disk space used by the application.
In Docker Desktop, click the Images tab
Find firstbellhub/firstbell and click Delete
Find ollama/ollama and click Delete
Only delete the ollama/ollama image if you do not use Ollama for other applications on your computer.
4Delete the FirstBell folder
Delete the folder you originally unzipped — wherever you placed it (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, etc.).
This removes the launcher, your API key settings, and any saved scan reports.
5Uninstall Docker Desktop (optional)
Only do this if you do not use Docker for any other software on your computer.
Open Windows Settings → Apps
Search for Docker Desktop
Click Uninstall
